Privacy policy
Effective November 2, 2026. Short version: we collect as little as we can, and your career jacket stays on your device.
Career jacket
In this version, your career jacket (training, certifications, awards, experience) is stored only in your browser's local storage. It is not sent to our servers. If you create a share link, the profile is packed into the part of the link after the "#", which browsers do not send to servers. Anyone you give the link to can read it. Clearing your browser data deletes your jacket unless you exported a backup.
Never enter Social Security numbers, home addresses, family details or information about other people. The forms will reject anything that looks like a Social Security number.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, we store your email address and the date. We use it only to send the ServiceJacket newsletter, and every issue will include an unsubscribe link. We do not sell or share it.
Provider forms
When you claim or submit a course we store what you send so we can handle the request.
Help hub
The help hub has no tracking beyond the basic server logs every website keeps.
Cookies and analytics
We do not use advertising cookies. We store a few settings in your browser (theme, saved courses, checklist progress).
Your choices
You can delete your jacket from the Share & export tab at any time. To remove a newsletter subscription or form submission, contact us through the provider form.
